The Shift Supervisor role at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is a dynamic and engaging position suited for individuals who are passionate about coffee and tea and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-oriented environment. This is an hourly position with pay ranging from $22.00 to $24.50 per hour, depending on experience and local minimum wage regulations. Shift Supervisors are integral to the smooth daily operations of the store, overseeing team performance, leading by example, and making important decisions to ensure a superior guest experience.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will be the face of the brand during your shift, responsible for fostering a positive and motivating atmosphere for both guests and team members. The role involves not only managing operations but also coaching, training, and inspiring the store team to drive sales and improve service standards. You will be well-versed in product knowledge, including coffee and tea expertise, and able to share this passion and information with customers to enhance their experience.
The position also involves community engagement, where you act as an advocate to build store presence and deepen local connections. Safety is a top priority, and Shift Supervisors ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and guests alike. Additionally, the role supports store maintenance tasks such as organizing stock, cleaning, and contributing innovative ideas to improve workflows and store success.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior retail or food service experience preferred
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks
