Job Description

Wonder is a dynamic and innovative company redefining the dining experience by making world-class food accessible to everyone, no matter where they live. Operating as a unique mealtime platform, Wonder offers a diverse menu that caters to a wide range of cravings by allowing customers to mix and match hundreds of dishes from over 20 exclusive restaurants in a single order. With zero delivery fees and convenient options for dine-in or pick-up, Wonder ensures that each dish is made fresh on-site by a dedicated culinary team and served hot, guaranteeing top-quality food and outstanding service at every touchpoint.

Based in Park Slope, Wonder operates with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, owning and controlling every aspect of the dining experience—from recipe development to innovative technology solutions that streamline operations and maintain consistency at scale. This comprehensive approach allows the company to serve an impressive selection of foods with remarkable speed and quality, setting it apart in the competitive food service industry.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Wonder is critical in maintaining these high standards. A Shift Supervisor acts as a leader and motivator for the restaurant team, overseeing essential kitchen operations during their shift. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $21.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour premium for overnight shifts worked between midnight and 5:00 AM.

As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead, train, and support employees through opening, preparation, service, and closing procedures. You will work in close collaboration with the chef leadership team and other departments to ensure each guest experiences impeccable service and receives meals prepared to the highest quality standards. This role requires a sharp focus on operational efficiency and safety, including monitoring kitchen costs, managing inventory and deliveries, enforcing sanitation and hygiene protocols, and ensuring that kitchen equipment is used safely and properly maintained.

The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of supervisory experience within a quick service or full-service restaurant environment and possess the ability to effectively communicate and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced setting. You will also be responsible for conducting briefings, maintaining ethical leadership, and fostering continuous employee development through coaching and training programs.

Wonder values a professional and inclusive workplace culture. The company uses an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) during recruitment to fairly evaluate candidates based on their ability to perform the job duties, self-rated skills, and overall fit for the position. Wonder is dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that hiring decisions are free from bias related to race, gender identity, age, or other protected characteristics.

Joining Wonder means becoming part of a forward-thinking team passionate about making exceptional food more accessible while supporting career growth through valuable learning and development opportunities. This role offers not only competitive pay and comprehensive benefits but also a vibrant workplace focused on teamwork, quality, and innovation.
