The current opportunity is for a Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Manager on the night shift, reporting directly to the Nursing Department Director. This leadership role is vital in overseeing nursing operations and ensuring exceptional patient care during the designated night shift. The RN Shift Manager will utilize their nursing expertise, along with managerial and organizational skills, to coordinate nursing staff and services delivered to patients. The position involves assessing patient needs and the required nursing staff resources, collaborating closely with the Nurse Director, staffing coordinator, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to meet patient care requirements effectively. The RN Shift Manager is also responsible for ensuring care is appropriate to patients' age and developmental stages while supporting the Nursing Director with various administrative responsibilities.
This role requires two to five years of acute care experience or equivalent, strong RN skills specific to the designated nursing unit, current California RN licensure, and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Managerial experience is preferred, reflecting the leadership demands of this position. Emanuel Medical Center offers an hourly wage range of $53.73 to $85.94, which is determined based on the candidates' qualifications and experience.
