The role of Shift Manager at Five Guys involves a dynamic blend of leadership, operational responsibility, and hands-on work in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Shift Managers are trained to perform all tasks that Crew Members and Shift Leaders do, but with the additional responsibility of overseeing the restaurant's daily operations in the absence of the General Manager. This includes ensuring compliance with Five Guys' high standards in product preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, staff management, and inventory control. This position is compensated at a rate of $19 per hour, with additional tips and bonuses based on performance, including a Secret Shopper bonus plan that rewards teams for delivering excellent customer service. Working hours align with the restaurant's operational schedule, typically from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, with no drive-thru service.
