The role of the hourly Shift Manager is central to Taco Bueno's mission of providing outstanding service and maintaining operational excellence. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the restaurant team during your shifts to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a knack for problem-solving. Shift Managers ensure that each customer receives friendly, personalized service combined with great food, served promptly and in a clean and inviting setting. Furthermore, the Shift Manager oversees the training and supervision of employees, monitors inventory and stock levels to prevent shortages, and manages cash handling procedures including cash counting and preparing deposit statements. This position requires a hands-on leader who is approachable and effective in maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Job Duties
- Supervises, trains, motivates and leads employees to maintain enthusiastic customer service
- Ensures orders are taken in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner
- Takes inventory of stock during shift to determine ordering needs and quantity of supplies required to prevent shortages
- Counts cash on hand at shift change and at closing to determine shortages or overages and prepares back deposit statements
