The role of a Shift Manager at AES is pivotal to the successful day-to-day operations of the restaurants. This position involves overseeing restaurant operations and guiding the team members during assigned shifts to ensure outstanding service and guest satisfaction. As a Shift Manager, you will be entrusted with full accountability for operational management during shifts without the presence of higher management. Shift Managers are tasked with a variety of key responsibilities such as ensuring team members deliver exceptional service, assisting management in training and coaching staff, utilizing AES systems to optimize restaurant operations, implementing essential controls particularly related to cash and inventory, and setting as well as achieving goals related to service quality, financial results, and operational benchmarks. AES emphasizes a goal-oriented culture, encouraging Shift Managers to collaborate closely with General and Assistant Managers to maintain high performance in areas including operations, guest satisfaction, customer service, speed of service, quality control, and workplace safety.

Job Requirements
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Must be ServSafe certified or capable of obtaining certification
- Ability to work in warm and cold temperatures
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to climb ladders for general maintenance
- Ability to perform motions including bending squatting twisting pulling reaching
Job Qualifications
- Experience in leadership roles within restaurant or fast food environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to coach and develop team members
- Familiarity with operational systems and restaurant controls
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial aspects such as P&L management and labor cost
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Ensure team members provide outstanding service to satisfy guests
- Assist management with training and coaching team members
- Utilize AES systems to run a great restaurant on all shifts
- Implement restaurant controls especially cash and inventory
- Set and meet restaurant goals for service operations and financial results
- Work with management to achieve high performance in guest satisfaction and speed of service
