Job Description

Located in Arvada, Colorado, our establishment is a dedicated franchisee of Jimmy John’s, a well-known sandwich restaurant chain recognized for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Unlike typical fast food outlets, we emphasize fresh ingredients and exceptional service, creating a unique dining experience. Our franchise prides itself on fostering a workplace culture that values competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and abundant opportunities for career advancement. As part of a fast-growing organization, we support our employees with ongoing training and mentorship to help them develop their leadership skills and gain valuable industry experience.

We are currently seeking a Person in Charge for our store at 8655 Sheridan Blvd Ste B. This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $13.65 to $17.29 plus tips, depending on experience. The Person in Charge position is pivotal in maintaining smooth operations during shifts when management is not present. This role involves overseeing all restaurant activities, supervising staff, and ensuring a clean and efficient environment where our trademark fresh sandwiches can be prepared and served.

As a Person in Charge, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing a team of approximately 3 to 15 employees. You will delegate tasks related to inventory management, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing supplies to minimize waste and prevent loss. You will also assist with food preparation, supervise sales and service operations, and provide support during busy periods to maximize restaurant efficiency. The role requires a hands-on approach, including daily food prep tasks such as slicing meat and vegetables, portioning, and product rotation. You will also complete necessary paperwork, help with routine maintenance, and uphold the store’s cleanliness and operational standards.

The work environment demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Team members must also have basic math skills and the ability to use critical vision and perception abilities while performing tasks. Working as a Person in Charge means being part of a fast-paced setting where mechanical equipment and moderate noise levels are common. We encourage diversity and provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure all employees can perform their essential functions effectively.

This role is not just about managing operations; it’s about becoming a leader within a thriving company. Our career development programs offer mentorship and support through supervisors and the HR department, providing a clear path for advancement into assistant management, general management, area management, or even higher executive positions. Commitment to working overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed is essential, along with the physical capacity to maintain a 40-50 hour workweek.

Joining our team means you’ll be part of a culture that values your growth, offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and provides paid time off and an employee meal benefit program. If you’re passionate about food service and looking to build a rewarding career with a renowned brand, apply today and show us what you’re all about!
