Job Description

Jimmy John's is a well-known fast food franchise specializing in delivering freaky fresh sandwiches with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Unlike traditional fast food establishments, Jimmy John's emphasizes not only speed but also the freshness and uniqueness of their offerings, setting them apart in the competitive food service industry. This franchisee prides itself on fostering a supportive and energetic work environment where employees are encouraged to grow, develop leadership skills, and thrive within the culture. The organization is invested in the welfare and advancement of its team members by providing competitive wages, attractive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and career advancement opportunities. They view their employees not just as staff but as integral contributors to a fun and dynamic workplace where food is crafted with dedication and care.

The Person in Charge role at Jimmy John's is an essential leadership position responsible for managing daily restaurant operations during shifts when the general management is not present. This position requires a balance of hands-on involvement in food preparation and customer service with supervisory responsibilities over a team of approximately 3 to 15 employees. As the leader on shift, the Person in Charge ensures that the store functions efficiently and cleanly while upholding the brand's commitment to quality and speed. The role involves delegating and overseeing duties related to ordering, receiving, inventory, and staffing to minimize waste and optimize operational success. Additionally, this individual supports team members during peak hours, handles daily paperwork and inventory tasks, and participates in maintenance activities to keep equipment and supplies in top condition. This position demands physical stamina and the ability to handle various tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods, in a moderately noisy environment. The Person in Charge benefits from comprehensive training and support that equips them to succeed and grow within the company. The role offers a pathway for career development, from operational leadership at the store level to potential advancement into area management or director-level positions. This opportunity is ideal for individuals ready to commit to a fast-paced, service-focused team setting where they can showcase leadership abilities, learn new skills, and contribute meaningfully to the success of a popular food franchise.
