Job Description
Papa John's is a renowned American pizza restaurant franchise known for being the fourth largest pizza delivery chain in the United States. Headquartered in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, a suburb of Louisville, this company has been delivering quality pizzas for over 30 years. With a passionate team committed to perfection and innovation, Papa John's consistently strives to create new products and recipes that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. The company values its reputation for quality, customer service, and operational excellence, making it a leader in the fast-food pizza industry.
The Store Manager role at Papa John's is crucial for maintaining high standards in both food quality and customer experience. As a supervisor of shifts and work areas, the Store Manager ensures the smooth operation of the restaurant, overseeing all aspects of the daily business to ensure profitability. This includes managing operations, implementing company policies, procedures, and systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws as well as ethical business practices.
Store Managers demonstrate exceptional operational skills, ensuring that every product meets Papa John's quality standards and customer orders are accurately fulfilled. They are responsible for responding to customer concerns professionally and promptly, encouraging customer feedback, and utilizing it to improve restaurant operations. Communication and training are key responsibilities, as managers must promote quality standards to their team using available resources such as the Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.
In addition to overseeing the team, the Store Manager maintains adequate staffing levels according to projected sales and upholds uniform and appearance standards. They coach team members to enhance performance and ensure a supportive and energetic work environment focused on customer satisfaction. The role also involves contributing to sales and profit goals through excellent customer service, increasing transaction averages via team product training and sales techniques, and monitoring cash management activities.
Effective inventory management is a priority to minimize loss, requiring the Store Manager to maintain appropriate stock levels using company systems and guidelines. They are also tasked with managing the restaurant's cleanliness, safety, and organization, ensuring adherence to all safety and security standards. This role demands strong attention to detail, commitment to tasks, customer focus, proactive initiative, relationship management, and teamwork skills.
Physical demands include standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and occasionally lifting heavy objects. The Store Manager must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation, and be prepared to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and emergencies. Additionally, the ability to lead independently during shifts, handle various technological equipment, and potentially deliver pizzas are important aspects of this role.
This hourly, non-exempt position offers candidates the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growth-focused team that values quality, dedication, and customer satisfaction. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check. Papa John's fosters a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement, making it an excellent workplace for motivated individuals seeking to advance in the hospitality and food service industry.
