The role of Shift Leader / On Duty Manager (ODM) at Tiff's Treats is a unique part-time position designed for individuals with multiple skills who enjoy taking leadership responsibilities and working hands-on with the team. The position is hourly and non-exempt, offering a competitive pay rate of $23 per hour during ODM shifts, $20 per hour during kitchen shifts, and $19.32 per hour base pay plus tips and delivery fee incentives for delivery driver shifts. The schedule includes varied shifts to cover weekends, including Friday through Sunday, and closing shifts generally from 4 PM to 11 PM. As the On Duty Manager, the successful candidate will step into the leadership role in the absence of salaried managers by overseeing store operations, managing employees, and ensuring an excellent customer experience at all times.
This multi-faceted role requires balancing responsibilities across several domains: leading a team of 3 to 6 employees, executing daily operational tasks such as opening and closing procedures, handling inventory checks, and maintaining seamless product preparation and sales. In addition to leadership duties, the employee will contribute as a kitchen team member by baking treats to perfection according to company recipes and standards and ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment. Additionally, the role involves delivery driver duties with a focus on timely and friendly deliveries, utilizing both company and occasionally personal vehicles, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean driving record and valid insurance.
The ideal candidate is flexible and versatile, comfortable juggling roles from leadership to hands-on kitchen work and delivery driving. Prior leadership or management experience—at least six months in a fast-paced environment—is necessary, as is availability during peak business days such as Bosses' Day, Administrative Professionals Day, and Valentine’s Day when all hands on deck are crucial. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance are mandatory, with additional compensation offered for drivers who use their personal vehicles. The position also demands physical stamina and the capability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, manage busy and noisy environments, and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently as a lone worker when necessary.

Job Duties
- Serve as the manager on duty during salaried managers' absence
- Lead, train, and evaluate the work of 3-6 employees per shift
