The Shift Leader / On Duty Manager role at Tiff's Treats offers a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their leadership skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This part-time, non-exempt, hourly position operates with a flexible and varied schedule, including day, night, and some weekend shifts within the hours of 7 AM to 11 PM. The On Duty Manager (ODM) acts as the leader in the absence of salaried managers, ensuring that the store operates efficiently and upholds the high standards of Tiff's Treats.

As an ODM, the successful candidate will earn $18 per hour during ODM shifts and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store. This includes managing a team of 3 to 6 employees per shift, ensuring product quality, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing outstanding customer service. The role demands a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to lead by example in various capacities. When not functioning as the ODM, the candidate will also contribute as either a Kitchen Team Member or Delivery Driver, which involves baking treats to perfection, packaging orders, and delivering products efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer interactions.

The Kitchen Team Member aspect of the job offers $15 per hour and involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines, and preparing Tiff's Treats products to company standards. As a Delivery Driver, the role pays $10 per hour plus delivery fees and full customer tips, with guaranteed minimum average pay of $15 per hour through the Guaranteed Average Pay (GAP) program. Drivers must have a clean driving record, valid license, insurance, and access to a personal vehicle for deliveries when company vehicles are unavailable.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Serve as the manager on duty in the absence of salaried managers, leading the team and ensuring smooth store operations
  • Oversee, train, and evaluate the work of 3–6 employees per shift, fostering a productive and positive work environment
  • Manage daily operations, including product preparation, sales, inventory, and service to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, complete daily paperwork, and conduct inventory checks to maintain accuracy
  • Optimize delivery efficiency by routing orders to maximize speed and delivery business
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude, setting the tone for the team and leading by example in every role
  • Assist with front-of-house tasks, including greeting customers, taking orders, handling transactions, and ensuring order accuracy
  • Support performance management, including coaching team members and providing feedback or corrective actions as needed
