The Team Leader position at Moe's Southwest Grill plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day restaurant operations and stepping in to lead the team in the absence of upper management. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for upholding the restaurant's high standards for food quality, service excellence, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. This role requires effective supervision of both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) activities, ensuring smooth shift transitions and efficient labor management. Team Leaders act as key communicators between team members, guests, food suppliers, and management, addressing concerns promptly and escalating issues when necessary.

Job Duties

  • Provide supervision during assigned shifts
  • provide team members and guests with a positive experience and atmosphere
  • manage both FOH and BOH shift responsibilities including daily labor controls and costs
  • monitor speed of service to ensure positive guest experience
  • assist with guest comments and complaints
  • supervise daily shifts to maintain company standards, product quality, and cleanliness
  • assist in the ongoing training of team members including new hires and existing staff
  • encourage adherence to uniform policy and standards
  • ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • open and close the restaurant in the absence of upper management
  • perform all other duties as assigned by management
