The Shift Lead position at Flynn Fitness plays an essential role in fostering this positive and vibrant culture by managing day-to-day team operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Shift Lead supervises coworkers, oversees their performance, ensures strict compliance with company safety and policy standards, and effectively delegates tasks throughout shifts. This leadership role is pivotal in maintaining Flynn Fitness's high standards of quality, safety, and service, ensuring member satisfaction and an outstanding club atmosphere.
Key responsibilities include organizing shift schedules, monitoring attendance and punctuality, assigning tasks based on team members' skills, and providing ongoing training to both new and current staff. The Shift Lead also handles customer concerns, resolves conflicts, and upholds the organization's commitment to security and integrity regarding member information and club operations. Additionally, the role requires attention to cleanliness and maintenance to ensure the club is always in prime condition, alongside managing retail transactions with accuracy to meet sales goals in line with corporate policies.
The role demands excellent customer service skills, active communication, empathy, and problem-solving abilities to sustain a supportive environment for both employees and members. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, walk frequently throughout the facility, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform various stocking and cleaning duties while adhering to safety protocols.

Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Frequent walking throughout the facility
- Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reaching, bending, and kneeling as needed for stocking and cleaning tasks
- Ability to work in a busy, noisy fitness environment
- Will occasionally use or be around standard cleaning products
- Appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment are provided
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and guide team members
- Experience in customer service settings
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Capability to handle conflict resolution effectively
- Proficiency in managing schedules and administrative tasks
Job Duties
- Organizing shift schedules for team members
- Monitoring attendance, tardiness, and time off

- Supervise performance and sharing feedback with both upper management and team members
- Training new and current team members on tasks
