Job Description

Currently, Chuze Fitness is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join as Lead 1 team members, a role vital to maintaining the high standards and positive atmosphere that define the company. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a competitive hourly pay range from $15.35 to $19.18 depending on experience. This role places the employee at the forefront of operations, where they actively contribute to delivering an outstanding member experience by demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to the company's core values.

As a Lead 1, you will be responsible for setting and upholding Chuze Fitness's standards by welcoming all members warmly and ensuring consistent engagement throughout your interactions. You will oversee daily cleaning tasks to keep the gym immaculate, assist with front desk operations including sign-ups, retail display maintenance, and amenities management. An essential aspect of this role involves training front desk employees and promoting adherence to best practices via in-person coaching and Learning Management System (LMS) trainings, including harassment prevention education.

The Lead 1 also supports daily shift management, delegating responsibilities, managing breaks, and collaborating with management to address member inquiries and escalated concerns effectively. Administrative duties related to member management software, inventory tracking, and email correspondence are part of the job responsibilities. Regular participation in team meetings ensures alignment with company goals and fosters ongoing professional development.

Job Requirements

  • Able to read, write, and speak clearly in English
  • physical ability to tour the gym including walking and climbing stairs
  • ability to bend, kneel, and perform repetitive arm movements
  • capable of standing for long periods

  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • experience in fitness or hospitality industry is a plus
  • ability to lead and train team members effectively
  • proficiency in computer operations and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Set and maintain Chuze standards in customer service by welcoming and interacting with all members
  • complete daily cleaning tasks and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
  • assist in all aspects of front desk operations including membership sign-ups, retail presentation, amenities, answering phones, point-of-sale transactions, and making smoothies if applicable
  • train all front desk employees and maintain knowledge of best practices and policies found in in-person coaching, Learning Management System paths, and harassment prevention training
  • support running daily shift operations such as breaking employees for lunches, delegating and following up on cleaning responsibilities, and successfully completing opening and closing responsibilities
  • support in troubleshooting member inquiries and partner with management for escalated concerns
  • assist in administrative tasks such as member management software reports, inventory counts, and managing club email
  • attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings
