The cooking position at Encore Senior Living plays a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of residents through nutritious and appealing meals. Working from 11am to 7pm with every other weekend required, cooks are responsible for the preparation, presentation, serving, cleanup, and storage of well-balanced meals tailored specifically to senior dietary needs. Flexibility, adaptability, and critical thinking are essential attributes for this role as cooks must be able to modify menus appropriately to accommodate the preferences and nutritional requirements of seniors. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • One-year experience preparing food from scratch or equivalent preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work 11am to 7pm shifts
  • Availability to work every other weekend
  • Ability to project professionalism and calmness in stressful situations
  • Willingness to participate in full training program offered by the employer
