Job Description

Cozzini Bros., Inc. is America’s number one commercial cutlery exchange service, specializing in providing sharp, durable, and safety-enhanced cutlery knives and blades to commercial kitchens across the nation. Since its establishment in 1905 as a family business in Chicago, Cozzini Bros. has grown to become the only truly nationwide sharpening solution in the United States. With a strong presence in 100,000 commercial kitchens, the company leverages in-house engineered knives designed to maintain their sharpness even in the most demanding food service environments. The company is driven by six core values: Safety, Service, Trust, Team, Continuous Improvement, and Integrity, which collectively provide the foundation for its leadership in the knife exchange industry.

Cozzini Bros. seeks a dedicated and reliable team player to join its sharpening team in Stockton, CA. This role involves operating a section of the company’s cutting-edge knife sharpening line, where the primary responsibility is grinding and honing blades to prepare them for efficient delivery to customers. The sharpening line features multiple key stations such as check-in, sharpening, honing, dishwashing and sanitation, quality control, and box out. Each station plays an essential role in ensuring that the knives meet the highest standards of sharpness, safety, and sanitation required by commercial kitchens nationwide.

This position requires the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment and collaborate effectively with a team to maintain line throughput and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be versatile, able to rotate through various tasks including grinding, edging, honing, buffing, sanitizing, drying, and boxing out knives. Additionally, the role involves conducting daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance to ensure the sharpening machinery operates flawlessly. Physical stamina and a strong attention to detail are critical attributes given the nature of the tasks, which include moving dull and sharp products between staging and production areas.

Safety is paramount at Cozzini Bros., and the successful candidate must diligently adhere to all safety policies, OSHA standards, and company safety programs. This is a Monday through Thursday position, with working hours from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Applicants should be prepared for the physical demands of the job, which include standing for extended periods, lifting weights up to 35 pounds, and maintaining visual acuity in a busy production setting. The role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow within a stable and reputable company that values integrity, continuous improvement, and teamwork in a specialized industry.

If you are eager to work in a structured, team-oriented environment where your skills directly impact the quality and safety of essential kitchen tools used nationwide, Cozzini Bros. invites you to apply and become a vital part of their sharpening team in Stockton, California.
