As a trusted brand with a nationwide network of dealerships, AutoNation offers a broad selection of new and used vehicles, competitive customer financing options, genuine parts, and expert maintenance and repair services. The company is also deeply committed to social responsibility through its DRV PNK initiative, which has raised over 40 million dollars for cancer research and treatment, reinforcing its dedication to making a meaningful difference in the communities it serves.

Joining AutoNation means becoming part of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture that values innovation, teamwork, and social impact. The organization actively encourages candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about driving positive change to apply, emphasizing a culture of belonging and continuous advancement. AutoNation not only focuses on professional excellence but also prioritizes employee well-being through competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth within the dynamic automotive industry.

The Service Porter role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation and customer satisfaction within AutoNation's service and vehicle maintenance departments. This position involves a variety of responsibilities related to vehicle handling, cleaning, inspection, and transportation that contribute to a seamless customer experience. Service Porters assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer vehicles, a critical function that supports accurate service processing and vehicle tracking. They meticulously remove protective coverings and identification tags from vehicles once service is completed, ensuring each vehicle is returned in pristine condition.

Service Porters conduct thorough inspections of vehicles for stains, debris, or any damage before returning them to customers, promptly reporting any issues to maintain service quality and customer trust. Their responsibilities extend to transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed and performing deliveries, which help maintain the dealership's operational efficiency. They are also entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of both the interior and exterior of new and used vehicles, as well as the vehicle lot itself, adhering to dealership display standards to enhance the overall customer environment.

This role requires handling vehicle keys responsibly, coordinating with service consultants, picking up and delivering vehicles to storage areas, and retrieving parts from the Parts Department. Service Porters also test vehicle batteries, maintain building and grounds as necessary, and assist with shop cleanup and deliveries, which are vital to supporting the service team's workflow and dealership presentation standards. The role demands keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work safely with machinery and vehicles, including manual transmission cars.

Emphasizing safety and customer service, Service Porters must possess a valid driver's license, demonstrate effective interpersonal abilities, and maintain a customer-focused approach. AutoNation supports its Service Porters with competitive compensation packages, 401k matching, comprehensive insurance plans including health, dental, and vision, as well as maternity benefits. Employees also benefit from exclusive associate discounts on vehicles, services, parts, and accessories, along with access to the YouDecide platform offering deals from top providers and retailers.

By joining AutoNation as a Service Porter, candidates become part of a forward-thinking organization committed to fostering a workplace where every associate is valued and encouraged to contribute to the company's revolutionary approach in the automotive sector. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career with the support of a respected industry leader dedicated to community well-being and employee development.
