Job Description
Texas Johns is a small, locally owned company specializing in portable sanitation services, located in the Dallas area. As a young and growing business, Texas Johns provides portable restroom services to a diverse range of customers, catering to various events and job sites. The company prides itself on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring timely and efficient sanitation solutions. Texas Johns operates with a close-knit team focused on safety, reliability, and quality of service, offering tremendous growth potential for employees who show dedication and motivation. The company currently has a full-time position available for a Delivery/Route Technician, also known as a Service Tech Driver, with a commitment of 40 hours per week and possibilities for overtime depending on business needs. This role is integral to Texas Johns' operations, as it involves daily interaction with customers and represents the company's commitment to service excellence in the portable sanitation industry.
The role of the Service Tech Driver at Texas Johns requires an individual who is punctual, self-motivated, and capable of managing a tight schedule efficiently. Being the face of the company in the field, the candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and handle various situations that may arise during delivery and servicing of portable restrooms. This position involves driving and operating medium-duty trucks, including towing trailers up to 20 feet long, which necessitates a valid class C driver’s license and at least two years of clean driving experience. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for loading and unloading equipment without the aid of forklifts, performing routine truck and equipment inspections, and making minor repairs to rental units to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Working at Texas Johns means being part of a team that values safety, professionalism, and independence. Given that supervisory oversight is limited, the Service Tech Driver must use good judgment and solve problems independently while maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor. The role includes completing detailed daily reports and paperwork to track deliveries and truck maintenance. Because the job is labor-intensive, the candidate must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and comfortable performing manual tasks as needed. This position also demands flexibility to work variable shifts Monday through Friday and the availability to work weekends when required by business demands.
In addition to competitive pay and potential overtime, Texas Johns offers the opportunity to grow alongside a dynamic company in a niche industry that offers consistent demand. Employees who join Texas Johns become part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering reliable service and improving customer experiences in a specialized sanitation market. The company is an equal employment opportunity employer and embraces diversity by considering qualified applicants without regard to race, gender, age, religion, or other protected statuses. This inclusive culture supports employees' growth and success in a safe and professional work environment, making it an excellent workplace for those looking to join a stable yet growing business in the service and logistics sector.
