As a nationally strong yet locally rooted company, it emphasizes providing an easy, fun, friendly, and inspiring shopping experience for customers while celebrating the diverse communities it serves. The company also prioritizes creating a workplace where employees have equal access to opportunities and resources and can contribute fully to the company’s success.
The Department Manager role at Albertsons is a dynamic and rewarding leadership position that plays a pivotal role in the daily operations and sales performance of a department within the store. As a Department Manager, you are tasked with ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities, leading and engaging your team to deliver exceptional customer service that earns customers for life. This role requires a strong passion for teamwork, valuing camaraderie among team members, and recognizing individual contributions while supporting the growth and development of each employee. In a constantly evolving retail environment, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow alongside the business, embracing new skills and experiences to meet the demands of the role.
Albertsons Companies firmly believes in building a diverse and inclusive workforce, and this role is integral in creating a sense of belonging among team members. The Department Manager leads by example, acting with integrity, pride, and passion every day. Whether you are managing the bakery, with at least one year of baking experience required, or the meat department, where knowledge of meat cuts and processing tools such as grinders and saws is essential, you will be setting the standard for operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The position demands effective time management and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and deliver a seamless shopping experience for customers.
Working at Albertsons offers many benefits, including competitive wages, bonus eligibility where applicable, flexible work schedules, associate discounts, career growth opportunities supported by invested leaders, and comprehensive health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, and 401k plans for eligible employees. The company also values and promotes vacation and paid time off to support work-life balance.
Joining Albertsons means becoming part of a company with strong values: putting people first, being customer-driven, valuing diverse perspectives, raising the bar, acting as owners, fostering teamwork, building belonging, and committing to a healthy future. As a Department Manager, you play a critical role in upholding these values while driving the success of your team and the business as a whole. Bring your flavor and become part of a team dedicated to shaping the future of food and well-being at Albertsons Companies.
