Headquartered in Germany, Voith operates in over 60 countries, providing a broad portfolio of systems, products, services, and digital applications. Its footprint spans across multiple key markets such as energy, paper, raw materials, and transport & automotive sectors, making it a diversified industrial leader committed to innovation and sustainability.

Voith Hydro, a division of the Voith Group, specializes in delivering cutting-edge solutions and services for hydroelectric power plants. They are currently hiring a Service Project Manager for the West Coast of the USA, preferably located in Washington, California, or Nevada. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative company that champions climate-neutral operations worldwide while providing excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits.

This full-time, remote-based position demands a high level of coordination and leadership throughout the project life cycle from proposal development through execution. The Service Project Manager will lead efforts to supply parts and services for hydroelectric power equipment, including turbines, generators, balance of plant electrical and mechanical components, and automation or digital systems. The role involves close liaison with customers, internal suppliers, and vendors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and profitability goals are met.

Key responsibilities involve managing proposal efforts by overseeing cost, schedule, scope, and quality to prepare accurate offers that meet contractual and customer requirements. The project manager will direct team members through negotiations and ensure proper budget and sales order setups via systems like SAP. Effective project execution on-site and developing contingency and change orders to maximize customer value and company profitability are essential.

The position prioritizes excellent organizational and communication skills, combined with technical expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering related to hydro power projects. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure, make critical decisions rapidly, and maintain productive relationships with clients and partners. Sporadic travel within North America to customer sites is expected to support project success.

Emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, Voith US Inc. encourages all qualified individuals, especially those underrepresented in the sector, to apply. They foster a collaborative working environment that values diverse thoughts and talents. This role offers an attractive salary range between $112,000 and $130,000 per year and a competitive benefits package including 401(k) matching, health and dental insurance, tuition reimbursement, and more, contributing to favorable work-life balance and career development.
