The role of Service Greeter/Porter at Economy Honda Superstore is pivotal in ensuring an efficient and pleasant customer experience within the service department. This full-time position involves greeting customers warmly as they arrive, managing the flow of service vehicles, and maintaining an orderly and safe parking area. The Service Greeter/Porter serves as the first point of contact for customers entering the service area, requiring a friendly and professional approach to address customer inquiries and direct them appropriately. Responsibilities include recording vehicle details such as VIN, mileage, and existing damage, assisting with the management of vehicles in the service lane and parking lot, and ensuring vehicle is prepared with necessary protective covers before service. The role also involves coordinating with service advisors to facilitate smooth operations and customer convenience. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Job Duties

  • Greet all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat professional attitude
  • answer customer questions and direct them to the appropriate person or location
  • determine if customers have an appointment and record customer’s name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage
  • control service traffic flow, parking and assist with loaner vehicles as needed
  • park vehicles after they have been written up
  • drive safely and report any lot damage immediately
  • retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up and thank customers for their business
  • install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats and I.D. tags in all vehicles taken for service
  • deliver keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate service advisor immediately after parking a vehicle
  • maintain a clean and safe service drive area free of trash, water, leaves and dirt
  • drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
  • make key tags for vehicles
  • maintain a professional appearance
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • follow all company safety policies and procedures and report any accidents immediately
