The role available at Helfman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is designed to support the service department by assisting with vehicle handling and customer service tasks. This position is vital in ensuring that the transition of vehicles from check-in through to customer pick-up is seamless and efficient, reinforcing the dealership’s high standards of customer care. The individual in this role will be responsible for greeting and welcoming customers warmly, thereby setting a positive tone for their service experience. Additional responsibilities include the careful inspection and preparation of vehicles prior to service, such as vacuuming, installing disposable seat covers and floor mats, and tagging vehicles with identification markers to streamline the service process.

In this position, the employee will also be charged with moving vehicles from the service lane to designated parking spots within the service department and promptly delivering keys and repair order copies to respective Service Advisors. Maintaining an orderly and clean parking lot is essential, as is the ability to retrieve vehicles for customers once their payment has been processed. The role requires a keen attention to detail, especially regarding the inspection of vehicles for any existing damage before service, as well as monitoring for any damage that might occur during the vehicle’s time in the service department. Any such findings must be promptly communicated to the Service Advisor or management to ensure customer concerns are addressed swiftly.

Furthermore, the individual will be expected to wash vehicles and run errands needed by the service department, displaying flexibility and a cooperative spirit to support the entire service team. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, a valid driver’s license, and experience driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Experience in customer relations and telephone handling is preferred, highlighting the emphasis on communication skills and customer interaction in this role. Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome service customers in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Identify and direct Service Advisor to their customer
  • Vacuum vehicle, install disposable seat covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all the vehicles taken in for service
  • Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot
  • Deliver the keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate Service Advisor's workstation immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot
  • Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner
  • Retrieve customer vehicle from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the Cashier
  • Inspect each vehicle for damage prior to parking for service and when retrieving after service for lot damage
  • Report any damage to Advisor and or management immediately
  • Wash vehicles
  • Run any necessary errand required by the service department
