The role of Service Porter and Greeter at Luther Automotive Group is integral to the seamless operation of its service department. This position involves moving service customer vehicles efficiently to ensure smooth traffic flow within the facility, thus enhancing customer convenience. The Service Valet/Porter supports maintaining an orderly and safe service parking area, providing a positive first impression and welcoming environment for customers when they arrive. This role is customer-facing and requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and a courteous demeanor to interact effectively with service customers. The position is hourly, paying $16.50 per hour, and offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation, 401(k) with company match, paid training, and growth opportunities within a family-owned business.

Additionally, the Service Porter and Greeter will be responsible for greeting customers as they arrive, assisting with vehicle registration, keeping the service drive and lounge clean and organized, providing reliable hospitality services with knowledge of the local area, and supporting scheduling changes and communications. This role also may involve pick-up and delivery of customer vehicles and performing special projects as assigned by the Service Manager. Being part of a state-of-the-art facility and a busy service shop, the job offers a dynamic work environment with ongoing certification opportunities, including OEM certification, to enhance skills and professional development. Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing background screening including criminal background checks and motor vehicle record reviews to ensure the safety and security of customers and staff alike.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet service customers on the drive and perform registration
  • Maintain service drive and lounge area
  • Assist with taking messages and handling schedule changes
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient hospitality services with adequate knowledge of surrounding areas
  • Move vehicles on and off the service drive in an expedient manner
  • Pick up and deliver customers and customer vehicles as needed
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Service Manager
  • Provide other services as needed
