AutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering a comprehensive range of vehicles and automotive services. The company operates a network of dealerships nationwide, delivering innovative products, exceptional customer service, and expert maintenance and repair solutions. With a commitment to empowering customers to make informed decisions, AutoNation provides access to an extensive inventory of new and pre-owned vehicles, financing options, parts, and expert service. Beyond its business operations, AutoNation dedicates itself to social responsibility through initiatives like DRV PNK, a mission to raise and donate millions of dollars to cancer research and treatment, partnering with cancer charities nationwide. This initiative has successfully raised over $40 million for cancer-related causes, reflecting the company’s deep commitment to positively impacting its Associates, Customers, and communities all across the country.

The role of a Service Porter at AutoNation is vital in maintaining the high standards of vehicle service and customer satisfaction that the company prides itself on. The Service Porter is responsible for a variety of duties related to the maintenance and servicing of vehicles within the dealership environment. This entry-level position requires attentiveness, good communication skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Service Porters assist with service write-ups, handle and tag customer vehicles, and ensure all vehicles are free from stains, debris, or damage before returning them to customers. They play an essential role in the smooth operation of the service department by transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed, performing deliveries, and managing vehicle keys efficiently.

In addition to vehicle handling, Service Porters help maintain the overall appearance and organization of the dealership. This includes cleaning the interiors and exteriors of new and used vehicles, keeping the vehicle lots neat and orderly by moving units as directed in line with dealership display standards, and assisting with shop cleanup and deliveries when needed. Safety is a top priority, as the position involves operating machinery, driving manual transmission vehicles, and testing batteries on customer vehicles. This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $19.50 per hour, along with exciting benefits such as 401k matching, comprehensive insurance plans including health, dental, and vision coverage, maternity benefits, and a range of associate purchase and discount programs.

Working at AutoNation means joining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that fosters a culture of belonging and values innovation and teamwork. The company encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply, even if they do not meet every single requirement listed, emphasizing the importance of passion and a drive to make a positive impact in both the automotive industry and the wider community.
