The Service Porter role at Charlie Clark Auto Group is essential to the smooth operation of their service department. This position involves various responsibilities critical to maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction. A Service Porter acts as a key liaison between customers, technicians, service associates, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates, and management, ensuring cohesive operations within the service department. The role requires an individual who is dependable, customer-focused, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks. These tasks include picking up customers, delivering vehicles to and from customers or internal service areas, moving cars to meet production goals, and maintaining clean and orderly service zones. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • Valid Texas driver`s license
  • Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, climb, kneel and crouch
  • Good vision including color, distance and close vision
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Texas driver`s license
  • Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting and moving vehicles

Job Duties

  • Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
  • Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
  • Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance
  • Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
