Job Description

Optima Dealer Services, Inc. is a respected staffing and operational support company dedicated to serving luxury automotive dealerships throughout California. With a strong commitment to maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance, Optima Dealer Services ensures that dealerships operate with a focus on safety, respect, and inclusivity. Their professional approach caters specifically to the needs of high-end dealerships, providing them with skilled personnel and effective solutions to meet their operational demands.

The company prides itself on fostering a workplace culture that emphasizes safety and respect, alongside professional growth opportunities for employees. Optima Dealer Services actively promotes an environment that adheres to all federal, state, and local employment laws, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company values diversity and inclusivity, making unbiased hiring decisions based strictly on merit, qualifications, and business needs.

The Service Porter role at Optima Dealer Services, located at a dealership in Costa Mesa, offers an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience within the automotive service industry. This position supports the service department by ensuring the efficient movement of vehicles, helping to maintain customer flow, and keeping the lot organized and safe. The role may be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis with compensation ranging from $17.00 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is ideal for candidates looking to develop their skills in vehicle handling and dealership operations. Working primarily with luxury and late-model vehicles, the Service Porter will gain valuable exposure to dealership service dynamics in a physically engaging work environment. The role requires active involvement in vehicle movement, customer interaction, and lot management. Service Porters are often the first point of contact for customers in the service department, contributing significantly to the customer experience by greeting and assisting clients in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities extend to vehicle preparation and coordination efforts that support smooth service operations, alongside assisting Service Greeters as needed. Safety is paramount, with strict adherence to dealership safety procedures and Cal/OSHA guidelines enforced throughout the workday.

Optima Dealer Services offers a positive and professional team culture where employees are encouraged to grow within their roles. Advancement paths exist within both service and operational departments, providing motivated individuals with clear opportunities to progress their automotive careers. Additionally, the company places importance on employee well-being by providing competitive hourly wages, paid sick leave as per California law, health benefits eligibility, vacation benefits for full-time staff, and ongoing training opportunities.

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift weights up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks related to vehicle handling and lot maintenance. Candidates must possess a valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and demonstrate the capability to safely operate automatic vehicles. Manual transmission skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Joining Optima Dealer Services as a Service Porter means becoming part of a committed and safety-conscious team dedicated to delivering operational excellence at top luxury automotive dealerships. This role is well-suited for self-motivated individuals valuing teamwork and customer service in a dynamic and evolving automotive service environment.
