Job Description
This job opening is offered by a reputable motorcycle dealership known for its dedication to the Harley-Davidson brand and the motorcycling lifestyle. The dealership prides itself on not only providing top-quality motorcycles but also delivering exceptional customer service and creating a community for motorcycle enthusiasts. As a well-established business in the motorcycle sales and service industry, it offers a range of products including new and pre-owned motorcycles, parts, accessories, and service options designed to keep riders safe and satisfied. This company values employees who share a passion for motorcycles and the unique culture surrounding riding, creating an environment where team members can thrive and grow professionally.
The role of Lot Porter within the service department focuses on the efficient handling, maintenance, and presentation of motorcycles both new and used. The Lot Porter is primarily responsible for moving, cleaning, and organizing motorcycles to support the service department and enhance overall operational workflows. This position demands a hands-on individual who is capable of physical work, in particular handling heavyweight motorcycles and maintaining an orderly service lot. Crucial to the role is a commitment to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring the motorcycles are prepared and presented in excellent condition when customers arrive. The Lot Porter also supports other team members by assisting with motorcycle assembly, pre-delivery inspection (PDI), and inventory organization, ensuring seamless service operations. With opportunities to operate forklifts and manage unloading processes, this role offers variety and the chance to develop expertise in motorcycle logistics and care.
Candidates for this role are expected to bring at least two years of motorcycle experience, notable physical stamina, and the ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement and a clean driving record are essential, reinforcing the safety-first culture of the dealership. The successful Lot Porter not only handles motorcycles but also embodies the genuine enthusiasm for Harley-Davidson products and the wider motorcycle community. This enthusiasm translates to attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented approach to their work. Working in a service environment with exposure to noise and mechanical movements, this role requires individuals who are focused on safety while performing physically demanding tasks. Joining this dealership means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction in the motorcycle industry.
