Job Description

This role is offered by a reputable motorcycle dealership specializing in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and related products and services. As a well-established business in the motorcycle industry, the dealership is committed to providing top-notch service and quality products to a dedicated community of motorcycle enthusiasts. The company prides itself on its strong customer satisfaction, knowledgeable staff, and its vibrant motorcycling culture. The workplace environment is dynamic, typically bustling with activity around the service department and showroom, reflecting the passion and energy shared by both employees and customers alike. The dealership offers a supportive atmosphere where teamwork and enthusiasm for motorcycles are highly valued.

The Lot Porter position is an essential role within the Service Department under the supervision of the Service Manager. This position involves moving and cleaning motorcycles, ensuring that the inventory is maintained in excellent working condition, and assisting with various tasks that support the smooth operation of the service facility. The Lot Porter plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean and organized service area, handling forklifts, washing and detailing motorcycles, unloading new units from freight trucks, and assisting in assembling and performing pre-delivery inspections on new motorcycles. The role demands physical strength and stamina since it involves pushing and loading motorcycles, lifting heavy materials, and performing tasks that require frequent bending, crouching, and handling tools.

Furthermore, a key responsibility is to uphold the highest standard of customer service and satisfaction by ensuring that motorcycles are ready for customers and the overall lot is well-kept. This position requires a person with a passion for the motorcycling lifestyle, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of motorcycle experience, a valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement, and a clean driving record.

Working at this dealership provides a unique opportunity to be part of a growing business serving a passionate customer base. The company supports its employees by offering competitive benefits including employee discounts, paid training, 401K with company match, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional benefits such as voluntary term life, short and long-term disability insurance, accident and critical illness coverage, and access to flexible spending accounts, as well as legal and identity theft protection, further contribute to an attractive compensation package. If you enjoy motorcycles and want to work in an energetic, supportive environment where your skills and enthusiasm are valued, this Lot Porter position presents a fulfilling career opportunity.
