The Collision Center at Toyota of Midland is currently seeking a dedicated Service Porter to enhance the operational efficiency of their service department. The Service Porter plays a crucial role by managing various logistical tasks essential to the smooth functioning of the collision center and service department. This position involves direct interaction with customers as well as internal personnel such as Technicians, Collision Managers, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates, and Managers. With a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, the Service Porter helps create a welcoming environment that supports service operations and customer satisfaction.
In this role, the Service Porter is responsible for transporting customers to and from locations, handling vehicle deliveries to and from sublet vendors, and relocating vehicles within the facility. The position also includes maintaining orderly production and paint areas through cleaning duties, removing trash and discarded parts, and preserving the overall appearance of the service department, including offices, storage areas, and exterior surroundings. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly those concerning hazardous waste disposal, is an essential aspect of the job to ensure environmental safety and regulatory adherence.
Ideal candidates for this position will possess strong people skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine commitment to customer service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Operator driver’s license
- Must be insurable
- Ability to drive a standard transmission
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds
- Good visual acuity including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Effective communication skills
- Teamwork and customer service orientation

Job Duties
- Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to sublet vendors and customers as directed
- Move vehicles from intake area to storage area
- Maintain a neat and orderly production and paint areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the appearance of the service department
- Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices, storage areas and around the outside of building
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
- Save and tag all warranty parts for storage
