The role of Service Lot Porter-Valet Person at Temecula Valley Toyota is a dynamic and crucial position aimed at enhancing overall customer satisfaction by expertly handling vehicle movements around the service area and ensuring the lot remains organized and clean. The position involves various responsibilities including relocating customer and dealership vehicles safely to and from the service area, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and assisting customers with transportation needs such as delivering vehicles post-service and transporting clients to and from their homes when required.

In addition to the primary vehicle movement duties, the Porter-Valet is responsible for installing protective coverings on vehicles brought in for service, conducting basic servicing tasks like refilling gas, oil, and water, as well as cleaning duties that range from washing vehicles to maintaining cleanliness across the dealership lot and service areas. This role also requires strict adherence to safety and security procedures and the ability to document processes accurately in compliance with dealership standards and regulatory guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record and be comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a problem-solving mindset are essential to success in this role. Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Ability to operate motor vehicles safely in tight and small spaces
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

No experience necessary but a plus, auto dealership preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
A valid California driver's license and clean driving record
Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces
Highly professional and dependable
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic computer and internet skills
Previous experience in a similar role a plus
Must be customer service oriented

Job Duties

Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed
Installs protective coverings such as seat covers, steering wheel covers, and floor mats on vehicles brought in for service
Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water
Washes and cleans vehicles as needed
Helps maintain lot appearance by cleaning driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary
Helps maintain shop cleanliness, including windows, doors, floors, etc
Manages dealer trades
Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested
Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
Follows all safety and security procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
