Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a prominent fast-casual restaurant chain recognized globally for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, and real food made with wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as an innovator within the food industry, Chipotle has created a unique niche by revolutionizing the concept of fast food, proving that food served fast can still uphold high quality standards and a distinctive customer experience. With extensive operations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique among large restaurant companies in that it owns and operates all of its restaurants in North America and Europe, emphasizing operational quality and consistent guest experiences. The company is deeply rooted in sustainable business practices, technological advancement, and digital innovation, aiming to make better food accessible to everyone. It also fosters a company culture that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level.

The role of Service Leader at Chipotle is a pivotal position designed to enhance the customer experience by ensuring the preparation and delivery of safe, high-quality food. The Service Leader plays a significant role in training and supervising the restaurant crew to maintain excellent service standards that reflect Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Service Leader is expected to be actively engaged throughout their shift, contributing not only to maintaining a clean, efficient workspace and properly functioning equipment but also providing leadership by evaluating and prioritizing tasks and assisting team members where needed.

This opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction who also have leadership skills and the ability to manage both operational responsibilities and team development. The Service Leader supports food safety regulations, helps resolve customer issues, oversees crew activities such as breaks and scheduling, and assists with office administration including cash handling, banking, and supply management. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration for smooth restaurant operations.

Chipotle values the growth and development of its employees, and as a Service Leader, candidates have access to comprehensive benefits, including tuition assistance, free food, and health insurance options. The company also emphasizes career progression, noting that a majority of managers started their journey as crew members within the organization. This reflects Chipotle’s dedication to internal advancement and employee empowerment.

Joining Chipotle as a Service Leader means contributing to a company that is not only a leader in the food service industry but also an advocate for sustainable agriculture and equitable, inclusive workplaces. It enlists individuals who want to be part of a mission that goes beyond serving food to cultivating a better world through responsible business practices and innovation.
