Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned restaurant company that has revolutionized the fast-food industry by delivering responsibly sourced, classically cooked, and real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Operating restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only major restaurant company that owns and operates all its locations in North America and Europe. Known for its dedication to a great guest experience, innovation, and sustainable business practices, Chipotle sets the industry standard for using technology and digital platforms to make fresh, nutritious food accessible to all. The company fosters a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, prioritizing a people-first approach and valuing contributions from every team member.

The Service Leader position at Chipotle is an exciting opportunity aimed at those passionate about both food quality and customer service within the fast-casual dining sector. The Service Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining positive customer interactions by ensuring that safe, high-quality food is prepared and served efficiently. This role requires close supervision and support of restaurant crew members, coaching them to deliver excellent service while maintaining rigorous food safety standards. The Service Leader is also responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the serving line and equipment, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.

This position demands a dynamic individual who can stay active throughout their shift, staying on their feet and proactively addressing tasks to maintain the restaurant's high standards when customer volume is low. The Service Leader also assists with administrative duties such as banking, cash handling, office paperwork, and ensuring supplies are adequate, providing a comprehensive managerial support function.

Chipotle offers competitive pay, with the base salary for this role ranging from $22.85 to $25.44 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, employees benefit from digital tips and a robust benefits package, including tuition assistance covering up to $5,250 per year for select degrees, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and excellent opportunities for career advancement. Notably, many of the company’s managers have risen from crew member positions, reflecting Chipotle’s commitment to internal growth and employee development.

This position is an incredible fit for individuals who are knowledgeable about food safety, cash handling, and customer service and who align with Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy. Candidates must have a high school diploma and prior restaurant experience. The company also values the ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location and familiarity with the necessary administrative and operational procedures required for this role.

Joining Chipotle as a Service Leader means contributing to a mission of cultivating a better world through responsible food practices while growing professionally within one of the most innovative companies in the restaurant industry. The company’s commitment to inclusivity ensures that all qualified applicants, including those with disabilities, are welcomed and supported throughout the hiring process.
