Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a pioneering fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically prepared, and real food made from wholesome ingredients. Since its founding, Chipotle has disrupted the traditional fast-food industry by prioritizing food with integrity, transparency, sustainability, and exceptional customer service. Operating across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique among its size, owning and managing all its North American and European restaurants directly. The company's ethos is deeply rooted in serving foods free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives while driving innovation in the food industry with a commitment to digital technology and sustainable business practices.

Joining the Chipotle team means becoming part of a people-first culture that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion while always looking forward to creating a greater impact within the communities it serves. Chipotle’s focus on responsible sourcing and environmentally conscious farming practices demonstrates its commitment to creating a more sustainable and accessible food system.

The Service Leader role at Chipotle is a critical position responsible for maintaining a consistently positive customer experience by ensuring the preparation and serving of safe and high-quality food. Service Leaders lead by example on the restaurant floor, overseeing well-trained and customer-focused crew members. This role requires actively maintaining a clean and organized service line with equipment that functions properly. Service Leaders must be physically active, spending most of their shifts on their feet, engaging with both customers and team members, and stepping in to assist with various tasks as needed throughout their shift.

In this role, the Service Leader not only supports food safety by enforcing rigorous hygiene and food-handling practices but also resolves customer concerns to ensure satisfaction. They help manage crew schedules, breaks, shift changes, and training programs to foster a supportive team environment that encourages professional growth and development. Service Leaders also contribute to operational efficiency by assisting with office administration duties such as cash handling, banking, and maintaining office supply inventories.

Chipotle offers its employees a competitive pay range starting from $18.80 to $20.90 per hour, complemented by eligibility for digital tips. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes tuition assistance, free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and abundant opportunities for career advancement — with 80% of managers having started at the crew level. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about food quality, customer service, and leadership within a fast-paced restaurant setting. By joining Chipotle as a Service Leader, you not only contribute to a responsible food movement but also grow your career within a forward-thinking, values-driven company.
