The Hyundai Service Lane Concierge is a pivotal full-time hourly position designed to enhance the customer experience within the service department. This role primarily focuses on greeting customers as they arrive at the service drive, providing guided assistance to ensure they connect with the correct service advisors. The concierge acts as the initial point of contact and plays a crucial role in maintaining positive customer interactions from the moment clients step into the service area.

In addition to greeting and guiding, the concierge is responsible for offering customers a brief orientation of the dealership's amenities, including restrooms, waiting areas, and the sales department. This small tour adds to the welcoming atmosphere and helps customers feel at ease during their visit. The role also involves managing communications, such as answering phone calls directed to service advisors and scheduling service appointments when advisors are unavailable.

Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential as the concierge navigates software such as Reynolds & Reynolds to check customer history and service order (SOR) statuses, ensuring accurate updates and efficient service processing. The concierge also oversees the maintenance and management of the loaner vehicle fleet, specifically Subaru loaners, including fuel checks, cleanliness standards, and damage documentation. Handling loaner vehicle agreements from writing up to closing them requires professionalism and accuracy.

A strong focus on customer satisfaction is central to this position, requiring a positive attitude, commitment to the Hyundai brand, and an empathetic approach. The role demands basic automotive knowledge, particularly at the express technician level, to effectively answer customer questions and understand service procedures. Working hours are scheduled from 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break, and candidates should expect some Saturday shifts on a rotational basis. The ability to work collaboratively and assist with the general upkeep of the service drive will contribute to the smooth operation of the dealership's service department.

This position requires technical competence in data entry and computer proficiency to maintain accurate records and schedules. Strong phone etiquette and a professional demeanor create a positive service lane environment, enhancing the overall customer experience. A clean driving record, ability to take photos and videos on a tablet, and compliance with dealership policies and procedures are mandatory.

Job Duties

  • Assist with greeting customers in service drive
  • lead customers to the correct service advisor

  • schedule service appointments
  • navigate Reynolds & Reynolds for customer history

  • set next service appointment if advisor is unavailable
  • assist with cashiering and walking customer vehicle
  • maintain fleet of Subaru loaner vehicles
  • keep TSD updated with current information multiple times daily
  • track all loaner agreements
  • maintain vehicles including fuel level checks and cleanliness
  • write up and close loaner agreements with customers
  • perform walk-arounds at check-out and check-in to check for and record vehicle damages
  • report all damages to service manager immediately
