The role available is for a Service Porter / Driver within the Service Department. Reporting directly to the Fixed Ops Manager, this position is essential in ensuring that motorcycles and sold vehicles are transported safely and efficiently to their destinations, whether locally or on longer trips that may require overnight stays. The individual will be responsible for driving and delivering motorcycles and other vehicles, including dealer trades and swaps, and ensuring that all relevant paperwork is accurately completed and signed off. This job demands hands-on involvement in vehicle preparation such as cleaning and prepping motorcycles for delivery, as well as assisting the service department with pickups and deliveries.
Beyond transportation, this position includes supporting technicians by facilitating the timely delivery of parts to aid in repairs and installations, enhancing the overall efficiency of the service department. The Service Porter / Driver will maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and service areas, contribute to the upkeep of customer motorcycles, and perform additional duties as assigned by the service manager. This role requires a commitment to flexible work hours and the ability to travel as necessary to fulfill delivery and service obligations. Job Duties
- Drive and deliver vehicles locally and long distances with possible stay-overs
- ensure motorcycles are clean and prepped for delivery
- ensure all paperwork related to delivery is properly signed
- assist service department with motorcycle pick ups and deliveries
- assist with cleaning sales and service customer bikes
- work with service department dispatcher to get motorcycles to technicians
- assist technician efficiency by getting necessary parts to the technician for repairs and installation
- maintain organization in the warehouse service department
- maintain organization and cleanliness of the service department
- other duties as assigned per service manager
