Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- prior customer service experience desired
- valid New Mexico driver’s license
- clean driving record
- insurability through the Motor Vehicle Division
- ability to sit, use hands to handle and feel
- ability to use computer
- ability to talk, hear and reach with hands and arms
- ability to bend, stoop, and crouch to assess vehicle issues
- ability to occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds
- ability to adjust vision and focus
- ability to work in environment with car fumes and loud noises
- willingness to adhere to safety sensitive position criteria
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner
- compute customer bills
- receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
- record amount received
- make change and issue receipts to customers
- provide cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise
- operate cash register
- reconcile cash drawer daily
- refer customers with questions about work performed or repairs to service advisor or appropriate individual
- handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and refer dissatisfied customers to appropriate individuals for resolution
- maintain and file repair orders, parts invoices, rental forms
- list missing documents
- close all open invoices
- reconcile gas purchase statements
- assist service and parts department with telephone coverage
- provide clerical and secretarial assistance to parts and service departments
- work with department manager to keep abreast of new products and services, their features and value, and price changes
- implement a quality control process to eliminate comebacks
- maintain high customer satisfaction standards
- handle telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
- inspect all vehicles for body work, inform customer if work is needed and provide an estimate for body work
- maintain a cooperative manner with other employees
- perform any other duties as assigned by management
- clock in at the beginning of each shift and clock out at the end
- ensure any overtime is approved in writing by the Service Manager prior to accrual
