The role of Service Valet at Gullo Toyota is an excellent opportunity for energetic, customer-focused individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. As a Service Valet, you will play a crucial role in the dealership’s service department by providing courteous and professional car handling services to customers visiting the service center. Your role involves greeting clients promptly and escorting them to appropriate service personnel, safely parking their vehicles in designated areas, and retrieving them as needed. Additionally, you will handle various light vehicle maintenance tasks such as installing license plates and replacing vehicle bulbs, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction. You will also assist technicians in moving inoperable vehicles and help clients with transferring luggage or packages between cars. Service Valets must maintain service drive cleanliness and keep the area free of vehicles, all while strictly adhering to the dealership’s policies concerning client vehicle care and operation safety. This position requires excellent communication skills, a client-first attitude, and the ability to multitask to support the service team and ensure a seamless customer experience. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, occasional sitting, climbing, bending, and lifting or moving vehicles or items weighing up to 50 pounds. A valid operator's driver's license and insurability are mandatory, alongside the ability to drive standard transmission vehicles. Job Duties
- Greets clients and escorts client to appropriate member
- parks cars in designated areas
- retrieves cars for clients
- finds and installs license plates
- replaces vehicle bulbs
- notifies Assistant Service Manager or Estimator if client is waiting
- keeps service drive free of vehicles
- maintains strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
- helps clients transfer luggage or packages between cars
- assists techs in moving inoperable vehicles
- alerts Manager to any damage to clients’ vehicles
- assists with housekeeping on the service drive keeping it clean and clear of debris
- attends department meetings
