Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • certifications in wine such as Sommelier, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers
  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant, bar, or hospitality management
  • demonstrated experience managing wine programs and inventory
  • experience in staff training and scheduling
  • strong knowledge of wine varieties and food pairing
  • exceptional interpersonal and guest relations skills
  • ability to analyze profit and loss, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving measures
  • proficiency in inventory management, scheduling, and payroll software
  • knowledge of alcohol service laws, health and safety regulations
  • ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • fluency in English, French, and Spanish

Job Duties

  • Curates and maintains wine list
  • manages wine inventory and procurement
  • meets with winery representatives and selects wines
  • recommends and serves wines to guests
  • maintains ServSafe Alcohol certification
  • interacts with guests and resolves complaints
  • monitors guest satisfaction and staff performance
  • manages budgets and cost control measures
  • supervises and trains bartenders, sommelier, servers, bussers, and food runners
  • schedules staff and processes payroll
  • complies with alcohol service laws and health and safety regulations
  • maintains food handling and sanitation standards
  • adapts to changing business needs and manages competing demands
