The Food Server position at V&E Hospitality Group is a vital role that contributes directly to the guest experience by ensuring smooth, efficient, and friendly service. Food Servers will be responsible for welcoming guests warmly, providing thorough menu information, taking accurate food and beverage orders, and delivering these orders promptly and correctly. The position is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering competitive hourly wages plus tips. Food Servers at V&E Hospitality Group work closely with kitchen staff, bussers, and fellow servers to maintain a seamless service flow and a welcoming dining space. Beyond order taking and delivery, servers also engage in up-selling menu items to enhance the guest's experience and contribute to the restaurant’s revenue growth. They maintain cleanliness and organization at their workstations and throughout the service areas, ensuring that the restaurant remains inviting and ready for the next guests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • strong customer service skills
  • reliable availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical stamina to handle lifting and moving trays and bus tubs
  • ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • willingness to work as part of a team and assist others

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a food server preferred but not required
  • excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide menus
  • answer questions about menu and specials and offer recommendations
  • take accurate food and beverage orders
  • input orders into POS with precision ensuring modifications and dietary requests are communicated
  • serve food and beverages promptly checking for order accuracy
  • anticipate and fulfill guest needs
  • clear tables efficiently and reset for new guests
  • encourage guests to explore menu options including appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks
  • present bills, process payments accurately and thank guests
  • maintain clean and organized workstation and assist in overall restaurant cleanliness
  • collaborate with kitchen staff, bussers, and fellow servers to ensure smooth service and assist colleagues during peak times
