The Server role at Golden Corral is central to fulfilling the restaurant's mission of making pleasurable dining affordable. The Server is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by following the Eight Steps of Service, which emphasize hospitality, courteous service, and attentiveness to guest needs. This position demands a clean and neat appearance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively with both guests and team members.

Servers at Golden Corral are expected to promote teamwork by assisting their colleagues and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that makes every guest feel valued. They must be knowledgeable about new products and promotions, constantly working to enhance the guest experience. Operational excellence is also key, as Servers must understand product specifications, perform opening and closing procedures, side work duties, and adhere to safety and cleanliness standards. The role requires flexibility and availability, especially on weekends, as the dining experience at Golden Corral does not follow a typical Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 schedule. Job Duties

  • Must have open availability on weekends
  • The main responsibility of the Server is “Making Pleasurable Dining Affordable.” Fulfilling Golden Corral’s mission statement requires a positive attitude and on going professionalism
  • Hospitality is the most important part of the Server’s responsibilities
  • The keys to success for a Server include a clean, neat appearance, positive attitude, and courtesy
  • Ensures guest satisfaction and promotes return visits by following the Eight Steps of Service
  • Practices positive public relations through ensuring our restaurant is welcoming and an inclusive environment for all guests
  • Shows enthusiasm and knowledge about new products and special promotions
  • Promotes teamwork by assisting other Servers to ensure outstanding guest service
  • Thoroughly understands product specifications and ensures guests’ receipts match the number of guests dining in their party
  • Performs opening and closing procedures and side work duties
  • Brings equipment and facility problems to the attention of the Manager
  • Familiar with the correct table bussing procedures
  • Follows safe work practices to ensure personal safety and the safety of other Co-workers and guests
  • Performs duty roster and meets cleanliness, service, and quality standards
  • Follows local health department laws
