Additionally, Servers assist team members to foster teamwork and ensure outstanding service for every guest. Operational responsibilities include understanding product specifications, ensuring accurate billing, executing opening and closing procedures, performing necessary side work, and recognizing and reporting any operational or equipment issues to management. The Server must adhere to safety protocols to protect themselves, coworkers, and guests.

Cleanliness is another essential element of the Server role. Employees are responsible for performing rosters that align with cleanliness, service, and quality standards, ensuring the restaurant complies with local health department regulations.
