Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
experience in full-service restaurant or customer-facing role
strong communication skills
ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
physical stamina to stand for extended periods
willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
age 21 or older (for bartending duties)

Job Duties

Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section
taking customers' food and drink orders
collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for the prompt and correct delivery of orders
memorizing the menu and recommending appetizers, meals, and drinks from restaurant wine stock
delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
verifying identification and age requirements of customers
mixing traditional and creative cocktails
processing payment from customers
cleaning glasses and bar utensils
making suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
recording and balancing cash receipts and preparing cash deposits
opening and maintaining tabs throughout their shift
building a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
