Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- TIPS or TEAM trained or equivalent
- Age 21 or older
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions
- Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to utilize a calculator, change counters and manually count and accurately make change for transactions involving large sums of money
- Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility

Job Duties
- Receive daily section assignment from manager
- Set up and stock station as required
- Smile, greet and focus on customers when approaching their table
- Introduce oneself and inform guests of any specials or menu changes
- Offer and serve cocktails or beverages
- Apply active listening skills as they state their order
- Be fully knowledgeable of menu offerings and be prepared to accurately answer questions, such as where food products come from, how food is prepared, tastes and textures
- Make specific beverage, appetizer, entree, and dessert recommendations based on personal preferences and experiences with other guests
- Answer questions regarding wine list, where wines come from, the vintage, suggested food pairings, aromas and flavors
- Follow all state and local guidelines for responsible alcoholic beverage service
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for consumption of alcohol
- Incorporate suggestive selling or up-selling techniques, as appropriate
- Verbally confirm order back to customer to ensure accuracy
- Process orders in the proper sequence by accurately entering into POS
