The Server position at Space Aliens Grill & Bar is essential for delivering an out-of-this-world dining experience to customers. Servers, also known as cocktail servers, play a critical role in preparing the dining area, warmly greeting guests, accurately taking orders, and ensuring that each customer's meal and beverage needs are met with attentiveness and care. The position requires excellent communication skills, quick thinking, and the ability to multitask in a busy restaurant setting. This role also involves processing payments, following up with customers during their meals to accommodate additional requests, and assisting with opening, mid, or closing shift duties. Job Requirements

ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and evenings
must be able to stand and walk for extended periods

ability to operate point of sale (POS) systems

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in a customer service or restaurant environment is a plus
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
strong attention to detail and a friendly, positive attitude
basic math skills for processing payments

Job Duties

prepare the area and equipment necessary for the customer’s experience
greet customer with a friendly smile and disposition
receive the customers order, send to kitchen through the point of sale system, present meal to customer, follow up on the experience with drink refills or customer requests
process payment of the food/drinks/retail delivered to the customer
send the customer on their way with a smile and a personable farewell
complete any additional requests from management and off duties that coincide with the server position
work the opening, mid, or closing portion of the shifts
