Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service preferred but not required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats
- Ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets between dining area, service bar and kitchen about 30 times per shift
- Basic reading, writing, math, and verbal communication skills
- Mobility and stamina to remain active throughout the entire shift
Job Duties
- Serve food and drinks to guests using IHOP's team delivery system
- Greet guests and answer questions regarding food, drinks, and service
- Make menu suggestions based on guest preferences
- Interact verbally with guests to create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Relay orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
- Observe guests and respond to additional requests
- Present guest checks and process payments accurately
- Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables
- Perform other duties as assigned
