The role of Lead Greeter/Cashier at Hyatt Regency Cincinnati is essential to creating the welcoming atmosphere that the hotel prides itself on. This position acts as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their entire stay. The Lead Greeter/Cashier is responsible for greeting guests warmly and providing exceptional customer service, managing cashiering duties, and assisting guests with inquiries and needs. This role requires a friendly, outgoing individual who can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

In addition to greeting and assisting guests, the Lead Greeter/Cashier is also responsible for managing orders for food and beverages, accurately processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lobby and cashier areas. The position often acts as the on-floor supervisor of the restaurant, helping train and develop staff, resolving employee and guest concerns, and communicating effectively with the restaurant manager. Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service or cashiering roles

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cashier station and lobby
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Offer suggestions and recommendations for nearby attractions, dining options, and activities
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in resolving guest issues or concerns
  • Guide guests through the menu, providing recommendations and answering any questions
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards
  • Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area
  • Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and exceptional service delivery
  • Become an ambassador for our brand, embodying our core values and helping to create an exceptional team environment
  • Assist Restaurant Manager with training and development of staff
  • Resolve employee and guest-related problems
  • Communicate with Manager on all matters relating to the Restaurant
  • Act as the on-the-floor supervisor of the Restaurant
