The position available is for a Part Time Server/Dining Assistant, scheduled for 32 hours over two weeks. Working hours are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with every other weekend rotation for all shifts. The targeted pay range for this role is competitive, between $16 and $19.50 per hour, and pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, certifications, licenses, and education. This role involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and cleanup duties while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. The Dining Assistant plays a vital part in ensuring residents receive exemplary service, adhering to diet orders and proper food handling standards. This role requires compliance with all federal and state regulations as well as facility-specific policies and procedures.

The Dining Assistant's responsibilities include maintaining a pleasant dining experience by serving food at the correct temperature and portion size, responding to resident requests, and supporting a collaborative and respectful work environment. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow all facility safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures including Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures including Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, and Fair Housing laws and regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide exemplary service to residents, families, and guests ensuring all feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service
  • Serve meals to residents per diet order and portion size with food served at the proper temperature
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe and efficiently organized work area
  • Label, date and rotate products ensuring an adequate, fresh inventory of food and supplies
  • Operate all equipment related to duties in a safe manner
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Accomplish routine, daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
  • Notify supervisor if any changes in residents' personal health are observed
  • Respond to resident requests, concerns or complaints and promptly notify supervisor
  • Partner with others in a demanding and changing environment and support all employees within the community as directed by leadership
  • Assist with special functions as directed
  • Demonstrate respect for facility property and supplies
