Job Requirements

  • Full-time availability with open schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • must be part of Local 6 Union with complete open availability
  • comfortable working varying hours based on seniority and business needs
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • must possess required Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness certification before hire
  • strong interest in Japanese cuisine and fine dining service
  • excellent customer service orientation
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • able to stand and move for prolonged periods

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a server preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
  • strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine including omakase-style service
  • ability to engage with guests personally and remember their preferences
  • excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
  • ability to maintain Forbes 5-Star level service in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent interpersonal skills and prompt professional response to guest inquiries
  • valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness certification
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly, using their names whenever possible
  • respond to guest requests promptly and efficiently
  • demonstrate a genuine sense of interest in guests' needs and provide expert recommendations
  • maintain in-depth knowledge of menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions
  • take food and beverage orders and input them into the point-of-sale system
  • retrieve and deliver food and beverages in a timely and high-quality manner
  • monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address concerns promptly
  • serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages compliantly
  • keep the station well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • clear and clean tables ensuring a seamless transition for the next guest
