Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • minimum of two years of high school education or equivalent
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • able to communicate effectively one-on-one or in small groups
  • ability to perform simple math calculations
  • ability to provide good customer service and handle complaints
  • physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • able to work in a busy, noisy, and congested environment
  • ability to follow safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of high school education or up to one year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • able to read, write, and speak English
  • able to effectively communicate with customers and team members
  • able to perform simple mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to count back money when giving change
  • ability to apply common sense and handle customer service issues
  • able to work in fast-paced environment
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • able to see clearly at close distances

Job Duties

  • Work with a sense of urgency
  • greet guests within one minute of being seated
  • set up the table with silverware, water, and coffee
  • answer customers’ questions
  • take orders and use suggestive selling
  • ring checks into the computer
  • hang checks for kitchen
  • prepare and deliver drink orders
  • promptly carry out food orders
  • drop bills when meal is complete
  • check back to ensure meal satisfaction
  • check back for additional water and coffee
  • observe guests for additional needs
  • clear plates and wrap up leftovers
  • maximize trips to kitchen by checking tables
  • keep up with behind-the-scenes work
  • assist other servers and cooks
  • finish to-go orders
  • keep work area clean and organized
  • accept direction from managers
  • follow safety precautions
  • perform cleaning duties and sidework
