Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Six months to one year of related experience or training preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain any required local or state food handling, supervision, or sanitation certifications

Job Duties

Take food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals accurately and promptly to residents and guests
Respond to resident and guest requests in a timely manner and engage with diners to ensure satisfaction with food and service
Ensure beverages are properly prepared and orders meet quality standards, including temperature, appearance, and doneness
Return items that do not meet expectations
Address dining room issues or concerns and escalate to management when necessary
Assist with meal preparation and assembly under the direction of the Cook or Dining Services Manager, following standardized recipes and menu guidelines
Label and date food items appropriately, maintain proper storage, dispose of waste correctly, and follow all sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting tables, clearing dishes, and restocking supplies
Complete required temperature logs during each shift to ensure compliance with safety standards
Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supply deliveries as needed
