  • Six months to one year of related experience or training preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required local or state food handling, supervision, or sanitation certifications

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals accurately and promptly to residents and guests
  • Respond to resident and guest requests in a timely manner and engage with diners to ensure satisfaction with food and service
  • Ensure beverages are properly prepared and orders meet quality standards, including temperature, appearance, and doneness
  • Return items that do not meet expectations
  • Address dining room issues or concerns and escalate to management when necessary
  • Assist with meal preparation and assembly under the direction of the Cook or Dining Services Manager, following standardized recipes and menu guidelines
  • Label and date food items appropriately, maintain proper storage, dispose of waste correctly, and follow all sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting tables, clearing dishes, and restocking supplies
  • Complete required temperature logs during each shift to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supply deliveries as needed
